Thierry previews GTWC Sprint at Valencia: “Important weekend to secure the win”
Thierry Vermeulen has continued his racing programme in the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup (GTWC Sprint), where in 2025 he is partnered by his Verstappen.com Racing teammate, Chris Lulham. The pair will share the Emil Frey Racing run Ferrari 296 GT3 in the five rounds of the sprint championship, racing on some of the most iconic and historic circuits in Europe.
Coming weekend Valencia in Spain will host the final round of the GTWC Sprint. Thierry says: “I am super excited as this weekend is the GT World Challenge Sprint final in Valencia. It’s been a long season, we worked very hard, had some bad luck in the process but we are leading the Gold Cup with a very small margin. Valencia will be an important weekend to secure this win and hopefully we will also achieve an overall podium.”
Thierry added: “I think we have been on pace all year. Valencia is a track where in my first year we also went with the GT World Challenge and we had a very successful weekend. So hopefully we can have a strong weekend again. As always, we will give our best.”
