Thierry previews DTM at the Norisring: 'Difficult to make the difference'

Published on 04 July 2025 by Niels Hendrix

For the third year in succession, Thierry Vermeulen competes in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM), one of the world’s most prestigious touring car championships, consisting of ten rounds. The 22-year-old ambitious Dutch racing driver continues racing in a Ferrari 296 GT3, run by the Swiss Emil Frey Racing team, under the support of Verstappen.com Racing.

This weekend the fourth round will be held at the Norisring in Germany. Thierry said: “After a great weekend at Spa, it's time for the next round in DTM this weekend at the Norisring. It will be a special one, as it is the only street track in DTM with a lot of racing history in the last years. It is always exciting to go there with only really four corners, so as always it will be extremely tight and difficult to make the difference.”

“But I’ve gained some experience there now over the last few years, that hopefully I can apply to get the maximum result. We worked hard with the team. They had some time off to get the cars ready, so we are excited to be back.”
