Max in Verstappen Racing line-up GTWC Europe Portimao: 'Looking forward to it'

Max Verstappen will be part of the driver line-up of Mercedes-AMG Team Verstappen Racing for the final round of the 2026 GT World Challenge Europe series. He will share the cockpit of the number 3 Mercedes-AMG GT3 with Chris Lulham and Ben Barnicoat during the three-hour race on Saturday 17 October.

As the regular drivers Dani Juncadella and Jules Gounon will be participating in the World Endurance Championship that weekend, Verstappen has opted to put himself and Ben forward as substitutes at the Algarve circuit.

“I am looking forward to it”, Max said. “It is going to be a busy seven weeks, but I will enjoy it. Let’s see what we can do at Portimão. I love the track and being in Portugal, so we will try to have a good weekend.”
