For the third year in succession, Thierry Vermeulen competes in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM), one of the world’s most prestigious touring car championships, consisting of ten rounds. The 23-year-old ambitious Dutch racing driver continues racing in a Ferrari 296 GT3, run by the Swiss Emil Frey Racing team, under the support of Verstappen.com Racing.
This weekend the seventh round will be held at the Red Bull Ring in Austria. Thierry said: “It’s time for the Red Bull Ring, a track I always love going to. Amazing sceneries, great track for racing and always nice to be going to Red Bull Ring, it feels like a second home race.”
Thierry continued: “We have had a very successful test there last week where we were able to try some things on the car. We completed over a 100 laps, so we are well prepared. Furthermore, I managed to go to Verstappen.com Racing Pro Simulation to spend some time on the simulator and was able to try some things in detail. So all in all, I feel well prepared for the weekend.”
“Regarding the Red Bull Ring itself, I think the previous two years we never really managed to put a perfect weekend together, so we’ve put a lot of effort in trying to change that this year. The weather looks a bit mixed, so hopefully we can use this to our advantage, as last weekend at the Sachsenring we were fairly strong in the rain.”
