Not all teams have passed the crash test

Only one day in front of the start of the season, not all teams have passed the FIA crash test. The test is necessary to check if a driver is well protected when involved in a severe crash. Nine out of eleven teams have passed the test, meaning two haven't. BAR, Benetton and Arrows are the teams that have not confirmed the approval yet. They have until the start of the first free practice to pass the test.

Although the crash test is exiting for Benetton, the FIA again approved with the FTT braking system. This was stated by the Formula 1 think-tank, a technical commission that advises the FIA in technical matters. The option remains however that the Stewards of the Grand Prix of Melbourne will over-rule the FIA decision.
