Published on 19 July 2003 by Huub Rothengatter

Rubens Barrichello will be starting from pole tomorrow, followed by Jarno Trulli and Kimi Raikkonen. Michael Schumacher could not get any further than 5th after a small error at Bridge. His brother is fourth. Except the surprising second place for Trulli the sixth position of Da Matta was remarkable. Antonio Pizzonia had reason to be happy, he managed to outpace his team mate Mark Webber for the first time this year. Button couldn't set a time after his front wheel suspension broke when he hit the curbestones too hard going through Maggots - Beckett - Chapel.

Jos was not able to set a better time than 19th, 0.3 seconds behind Wilson. "That is because I went out on a hard compound, but Justin preferred the softer compound. That soft compound is slightly faster in 1 lap, but the hard compound is better for the race. We will start on the same pitstop strategy though."
