Hakkinen was fastest in the first free practice on saturday for the Italian GP, followed by Hill and Schumacher. Jos only drove 6 laps due to a leakage in the gearbox and managed a 17th time. Again a lot of spins this morning by among others Alesi, Irvine and Brundle. See Italian Grand Prix Results for the times.
