Red Bull Soap Box: “As long as you don’t brake, it will all work out.”

The tourist town of Valkenburg, in the very south of the Netherlands, formed the backdrop for the Red Bull Soap box 2015 race. Over sixty teams entered with the aim of being the fastest outfit to go down the 480 meter track. One of the participants was Scuderia Toro Rosso ace Max Verstappen, who tackled the steep 12% sloped course in a special soap box sporting the Toro Rosso livery.
Despite his competitive nature, the Dutchman had to be somewhat careful with the prestigious Monaco Grand Prix only a week away. Nevertheless, Max put in a spectacular run which resulted in a flying finish, costing him his front wing in the process.
“It was a slightly rough landing but it was a lot of fun”, explains Max. “There were some pretty cool jumps in the course and you can really build up speed.” Max' advice for the other competitors was therefore simple: “As long as you don’t brake, it will all work out.”
