Italia a Zandvoort brimming with moments of pleasure

Italia a Zandvoort “driven by Max Verstappen” offers much more than the Formula 1-demonstration runs with Max Verstappen and others. On Sunday June 28th, clubs of almost 30 car brands, are to be found at Circuit Park Zandvoort with their Italian cars. All cars, from Ferrari’s and racing cars to the Fiat Topolino can be admired on the fast asphalt as in the paddocks.

Scuderia Toro Rosso-driver Max Verstappen will do his first Formula 1-demo on a Dutch track during Italia a Zandvoort. Max will demonstrate his skills four times, including a special demo together with his father Jos. Arie Luyendijk and Jan Lammers, both with a Coloni Formula 1, and the Minardi-duo Jos Verstappen and Frits van Eerd, will both do two spectacular Formula 1-demonstration runs.

From nine to almost six o’clock, the Formula 1-rides will be varied with a total of thirteen parades and demos from the clubs of Italian car brands. The somewhat 30 clubs, offer on track as in the paddocks, a wide overview of decades of Italian car and motorsports history. The Ferrari Club Netherlands will undoubtedly be out in full force, present with expectantly some 100 cars and two “Ferrari only” demos. Italia a Zandvoort also welcomes brands like Lamborghini, Maserati, Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Lancia. A lot of Fiat-clubs focus on a specific model. Models like e.g. the Fiat Topolino, 500, 850 Spider and Barchetta. Not less remarkable, in any sense, will be an honorary lap of about 250 Vespa’s.

The Italian familycars and the sporting models will be seen in action during the parades of the tour- and sporting class. De Competizione-demos are open to a selection of touring cars of Italian make. The most exclusive supersportcars will lap the track three times during the “Italian Supercars” demonstration. This demo is for the most exotic cars that enthusiasts only know from the internet or see in the magazines. All the cars can be gazed at and be photographed the whole day in the circuit’s paddocks. In and around the paddocks one can, of course, enjoy Italian food and drink and also find automobilia.
