Video: Max vs Jos in exclusive onboard during Italia a Zandvoort

It is well known that the Verstappen’s have written motorsport history in different ways. A racing father and son, that have both made it to the pinnacle of motorsport, is something that happens every now and then. But the miles covered in the dunes, during Italia a Zandvoort last Sunday by Max and Jos, are truly unique and will be another chapter in the history of the Verstappen’s.

Thanks to Red Bull and Verstappen.nl that performance has been captured from five different angles by onboard video. Hence the run of the Verstappen’s – in a RB8 in a Scuderia Toro Rosso livery and a Minardi PS01 – can be viewed from their perspective.

In the footage herewith, Jos and Max head out to the track behind each other and remain close to one another during the outlap. Entering the straight the duo is quite brotherly next to each other only to hit the throttle after a rolling start. Although Jos is ahead by a car’s length, Max out brakes his father to snatch the lead and never relinquishes it again. During the inlap, father and son both drive to the finish line, where an ecstatic crowd loudly greet them.
