Max starts P17 after grid penalty
Published on 26 September 2015 by Stefan Meens
So far it has not been Max Verstappen's weekend. After a disappointing qualifying, in which electrical issues confined Max to Q1 and P15, the Dutchman was also awarded a three place grid penalty by the stewards.
The stewards decided that Max had parked his STR in an unsafe manner on the track. It means the 17-year-old will start the Japanese Grand Prix from P18.
Nico Hulkenberg is the other driver who has a grid penalty. Due to causing a crash with Felipe Massa during the Singapore Grand Prix, the German Force India driver will be put down the order three places. Daniil Kvyat, who heavily damaged his Red Bull in the final part of qualifying, will start the race from the pits. That means Max will start the Japanese GP from P17.
