Jos after British Grand Prix: “Super race from Max”

While Max Verstappen is handed his third place trofee to the British Grand Prix and is having fun with the Champagne on the podium, father Jos Verstappen is very clear to Ziggo Sport that this is not something we are getting used to.

“Most definitely not. The race was very exciting, starting in the rain, then the intermediates and later the slicks. And that on a track with still damp spots it. That is very tricky, as was obvious in turn one, where almost every driver got off track. Even Max once or twice.”

Jos concludes, with much pride: “I think Max drove a very solid race, also defensive towards Roberg. Once again it was a super race.”
