Pirelli has announced the tyre choices for Mexican GP

The F1 sole tyre supplier Pirelli has revealed the different tyre choices for the Mexican Grand Prix. The Italian based company supplies three tyre-compounds every GP-weekend. It is mandatory for the teams to use two during the race.
On Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, the drivers will be provided with Pirelli’s mediums, softs and super softs. The Mercedes drivers have a slightly different tyre selection. Lewis Hamilton has opted for three sets of the medium, five sets of the soft and five sets of the super soft compound tyre. Leader in the championship standings, Nico Rosberg, has one set more of the medium compound tyre, but only four sets of the softs.
Within the Ferrari squad, there is also a small difference. Kimi Raikkonen only has two sets of the medium compound tyre apart from five sets of the softs and six sets of the super softs. Sebastian Vettel has one more set of the mediums but one set less of the softs. With that the German has gone with the selection of tyres like the Red Bull Racing duo: both Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo will be running on three sets of the medium, four sets of the softs and six sets of the super softs. That is a less conservative choice compared to the previous Grands Prix.
