FP2 axed due to heavy fog: "Wait and see tomorrow"

The Grand Prix of China is off to a slow start. After the track was only available for a handful of laps in FP1, the second free practice session was completely cancelled. The fog above the city of Shanghai makes it impossible for the medical helicopter to fly from the circuit to hospital, therefore all running on track is denied.
“Like everybody else, we weren’t able to drive much. I was able to do two full laps so we couldn’t test much on the car”, explains Max, who was fastest in FP1. “That was positive and the car felt good, but not everybody set a time so it doesn’t matter much.”
Limited running means predictions are even more difficult than normal. “I have no idea how competitive we’ll be in normal dry conditions and our updates will work. We’ll have to wait and see tomorrow.”
Saturday’s weather is predicted to be significantly better, meaning FP3 and qualifying are scheduled to run as intended from 5am-6am (BST) and 8am-9am.
