Pirelli announces tyre choices Mexican Grand Prix

Pirelli, Formula 1’s sole tyre supplier, has announced the tyre choices the respective teams have made for the Mexican Grand Prix. Just like in Austin, the drivers will have the softs, super-softs and ultra-softs at their disposal on Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez.
Standing out is Red Bull Racing’s conservative strategy compared to the rest of the teams. Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo have gone for three sets of the softs (more than anyone else), four of the super-softs and six of the ultra-soft tyres. In comparison: Mercedes are taking nine sets of the purple striped tyre to Mexico.
Apart from the fact that many teams and drivers are focussing on the ultra-softs, there are still some differences within the team themselves. Leader in the standings Lewis Hamilton and his rival, Vettel, have opted to run on an extra set of the super-softs compared to their team mates.
