On the penultimate day of pre-season testing in Barcelona, Max Verstappen enjoyed a productive morning, completing 77 laps of the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. His quickest lap was a 1:19.842.
At the start of the session, the Aston Martin Red Bull Racing youngster heads out for the customary installation lap, before embarking on a long stint on the medium Pirellis. After 26 laps, Max reports back to the team.
As the sunshine is replaced by more and more clouds, the RB14 hits the circuit for a second stint, again on medium tyres.
At quarter to twelve, Max switches to the soft Pirellis, resulting in the Dutchman’s fastest time of the morning (1:19.842). Meanwhile, Sebastian Vettel sets the pace on the quickest compound available, the hypersofts. The Ferrari driver laps the Catalunya based circuit in 1:17.182. Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes) is the most productive driver in the morning with 96 laps.
