Daniil Kvyat returns to Toro Rosso in 2019

The so-called 'silly season' has got a new turn: Daniil Kvyat will drive for Toro Rosso again next year. The team from Faenza announced this morning. The last time the 24-year-old Russian drove in Formula 1 was during the American Grand Prix in 2017 (also for Toro Rosso). Who will be Kvyat’s teammate is still unknown.
Daniil Kvyat has had, to put it mildly, an eventful Formula 1 career so far. The Russian made his debut with Toro Rosso in 2014, after which he was promoted to the big Red Bull Racing in 2015. There he raced up until the Spanish Grand Prix in 2016, when, due to the lack of results, he was replaced by Max Verstappen. Kvyat took Verstappen's place at Toro Rosso, but after a year and a half was let go.
With the confirmation of Kvyat, the number of available seats is now rapidly declining. In addition to the empty seat at Toro Rosso, only Williams and Force India still have to announce their line-up for next year.
