Today Jos drove the modified Tyrrell 025X for the first time on the second and last day of the Tyrrell testsession at Silverstone. Jos really enjoyed his first outing in the car, which pleased Harvey Posthletwaite very much and as opposed to Mika Salo who was very negative after his first taste of the car. Jos told us that, to his own surprise, the car was very driveable and that you can really corner the car. Ofcourse the car is a bit slower in corners but that is what the rules are about. You now take corners wider and slower. Obviously the team is making good progress with the development of the 1998 car.

It rained most of the time today at the testsession. Jos has not been able to drive more than 2 more or less dry laps with the car on a drying track. Due to the rain Mika Salo only drove a couple of laps in the '97 Tyrrell. Yesterday Toranosuke Takagi made a total of 59 laps in the '97 Tyrrell and set a best time of 1:26.5.
