Jos will start the German Grand Prix from the 20th position. He set a time of 1m45.811s and was half a second slower than teammate Mika Salo. Verstappen was dissapointed about the lack of engine power in the Tyrrell. Jos explained the gap with Salo due to a slightly better engine for the Finn.
Fastest time was set by Gerhard Berger who clocked 1m41.873s. The Austrian makes a perfect come back with his pole while Fisichella lines up in second place tomorrow.
Jordan is the first team to copy the aerodynamic gadgets of Tyrrell. The cars of Fisichella and Schumacher now feature the extra winglets on the nose-cone. The devices are meant to improve the airflow underneath the car which gives more downforce on the rear of the car.
