Formula 1 supports Australian bushfire victims with auction

As fires continue to devastate a large part of Australia, the Formula 1 community has decided to create an F1 Auction, the money raised will go to help those affected in the worst hit areas. The auction will take place from today, with all the proceeds going to four charity and non-profit organisations.
Every year, Australia traditionally forms the start of the Formula 1 season. However, the country has been dealing with bushfires for months now, costing the life of 29 people and millions of animals. Also, more than 11 million hectares of wilderness has been burnt.
That’s why Formula 1 also offers a helping hand. A number of teams and drivers, among them Max Verstappen, donated items for the auction. In addition to exclusive merchandise like race suits, helmets and racing gloves, special meet-and-greets and other unique experiences will go under the hammer.
