Max Verstappen and his team have finished third during the 24-hour race on the Nürburgring powered by VCO. During the iRacing sim race, Team Redline Cup was after 24 hours racing on the Nordschleife one lap behind the Porsche24 driven by Redline, who finished first of their class. Second finished the team of R8G Esports.
During the event, the participants were racing in four different classes. The fastest class was the GT3 with among others the Audi R8 LMS, Ferrari 488 GT3, Mercedes AMG GT3 and the BMW Z4 GT3. Then the Cup, the class in which the team of Max competed, all racing in the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. In the GT4 class the participants raced in the Porsche Cayman GT4 and finally the TCR class with an Audi RS 3 LMS TCR.
With his teammates Ayhancan Guven and Marcus Bech Jensen, the Aston Martin Red Bull Racing driver was looking good for the win in their class for most of the time. Unfortunately, Ayhancan Guven damaged the car in the last hour, losing the chance for victory. Every lap they lost 20 seconds, so in the end they had to settle for third place.
Overall, the race was won by BS Competition $089 in a BMW Z4 GT3. Team Redline Cub ended in eighth place on the overall leader board.
