Thierry ahead of GTWC Hockenheim: 'Excited'

Published on 19 July 2024 by Niels Hendrix

Verstappen.com Racing is represented in the DTM and GT World Challenge Sprint (GTWC) by Thierry Vermeulen, who drivers a Ferrari 296 GT3 of Emil Frey Racing. The Dutchman previews the upcoming GTWC weekend at Hockenheim.

Thierry is looking forward to it: “It is now time for the GT World Challenge round 3 in Hockenheim. I’m excited about this. Hockenheim has always been a strong track for us and all in all in the GT World Challenge we are currently fourth in the championship, only half a point behind third and it’s all very close. It is important to score good points this weekend and stay in the championship hunt.”

Thierry adds: “A good to start the weekend with a strong Thursday, but that doesn’t mean anything yet. I am happy with the car though and the balance. On Friday we have two sessions: FP1 and pre-qualifying, before we have qualifying and race 1 on Saturday. I will be in for the first qualifying on Saturday morning. I’m sure it will be tight, but I have a good feeling and will give it my all.”
