Jos third after first day of Tour de Corse Historique: 'We are enjoying it'

The coming days, Jos Verstappen is taking part in the 24th edition of the Tour de Corse Historique, which starts and finishes in Porto-Vecchio, Corsica. He and co-driver Renaud Jamoul are participating in a Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 RS from 1974. It is a 330 hp, 930 kilo rear-wheel drive car without electronic aids such as ABS.
Today, on the first day of the historic Rally of Corsica, Jos finished third in his class (H1). In the overall standings, Verstappen and Jamoul, driving with starting number 33, are in P8.
After the second stage of the day, Jos says: “It is not easy to get used to the car, but it is a lot of fun, and it is also difficult with the water and the slippery conditions. There is a lot to learn, but we are enjoying it.”
The Tour de Corse Historique lasts five days and covers almost 1,000 kilometres, with 386 kilometres of timed sections divided into seventeen special stages. The rally ends on Saturday in Porto-Vecchio, after stages in Bastia Poretta, Calvi and Propriano.
