This week, Jos Verstappen participates in the 24th edition of the Tour de Corse Historique, which starts and finishes in Porto-Vecchio on the French island of Corsica. Jos and his co-driver Renaud Jamoul drive a 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 RS. This is a 330 hp, 930-kilo rear-wheel drive car, without any electronic aids such as ABS.

On the fourth day of the rally, Jos managed to maintain third position in his class (H1). Overall, the Dutchman, driving with starting number 33, is in eighth place.

His co-driver Renaud said: “We are really enjoying ourselves here in Corsica. This mythical rally is well-known. The stages today were special again. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed it.”

On Friday, the following four stages were on the programme: Notre-Dame-de-La-Serra (27.9 km), Porto – Evisa (14.8 km), Arbori – Liamone (25.7 km) and Col de Bellevalle – Pont de Calzola (25.2 km). Jos Verstappen finished all four stages in his class (H1) in third place. In the overall standings, Verstappen is eighth after a total of thirteen stages so far, 8:20 minutes behind leader Julien Saunier, who is participating in a Porsche 911 3L RS.

The last four stages of the Tour de Corse Historique are scheduled for Saturday, with the finish in Porto-Vecchio.
