Thierry looking forward to first race of 2025: 'Super excited'

Published on 10 April 2025 by Niels Hendrix

Verstappen.com Racing will, for the first time, support an entry into the highly competitive GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup (GTWC Endurance). Verstappen.com Racing will field two of its own drivers, Thierry Vermeulen and Chris Lulham, alongside the up-and-coming 24-year-old Harry King from the United Kingdom. The trio will share an Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo, run by the 2 Seas Motorsport team, across the five rounds of the highly anticipated GTWC Endurance championship.

Thierry is looking forward to his first race of 2025, coming weekend during a six-hour race at Paul Ricard in France: “Finally, time has come for the first race week of the year starting my GT World Challenge campaign. I am super excited to finally have my first race of the year. We’ve put a lot of effort in the preparation during the wintertime. We have a great line-up and great team full of dedicated people.”

The race will be starting at 18.00 CEST on Saturday going to midnight. Thierry continues: “A six-hour race, so quite a long endurance race, so it will be challenging and exciting with driving in the dark. The level is extremely high, it won’t be easy for us, but it is important to get good experience with the car. It is our first race with this car and we will try and bring it as much as we can to the front.”

Qualifying consists of three different parts, in which each driver gets their own qualifying and the average time between the three will determine where the car starts. Thierry: “So it is important for all of us to maximise our performance and stay out of trouble!”

The race can be followed live on YouTube as always and for this year’s endurance races we will be doing our own live streaming on Twitch via https://www.twitch.tv/teamredline
