For the third year in succession, Thierry Vermeulen competes in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM), one of the world’s most prestigious touring car championships, consisting of ten rounds. The 22-year-old ambitious Dutch racing driver continues racing in a Ferrari 296 GT3, run by the Swiss Emil Frey Racing team, under the support of Verstappen.com Racing.
This weekend the second round will be held at the Lausitzring in Germany. Thierry said: “It’s time for another race week. I am quite excited to be back in DTM for round two after some races in the GT World Challenge, where we showed very good potential. I think we definitely made a step forward from last year when it comes to pace and now it’s time to also show this in DTM.”
Thierry added: “The weather forecast is looking quite good. The Lausitzring is a very technical, low speed track, which is very different from Brands Hatch and Zandvoort, but nevertheless I think we can show great performance here. We haven’t tested here, so on Friday we will have to try out some things and be as efficient as possible, but I think with the team we will manage that.”
