For the third year in succession, Thierry Vermeulen competes in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM), one of the world’s most prestigious touring car championships, consisting of eight rounds. The 23-year-old ambitious Dutch racing driver continues racing in a Ferrari 296 GT3, run by the Swiss Emil Frey Racing team, under the support of Verstappen.com Racing.
This weekend the final round will be held at the Hockenheimring in Germany. Thierry said: “I am ready for the DTM final round at Hockenheim. The season has gone very fast and I enjoyed a lot of the races. We had a few very good races lately, with a double podium at the Red Bull Ring.”
“I am excited to go to Hockenheim. It’s a spectacular place for the season finale weekend. Unfortunately, I am not in the championship fight, so the maximum I can do is try to win the race which has been my goal this entire season. We have been close a couple of times with two pole positions, leading the race a few times, so hopefully we can convert this to a win in the last weekend. That’s something the entire crew deserves and I will give it 100%.”
