Brazilian Enrique Bernoldi with a best time of 1:02.149 in a Promatecme Dallara-Renault who takes part in the British Formula 3 championship. Christjan Albers starts as sixth tomorrow for the Van Amersfoort Racing team with a time of 1:02.392. The time gaps in the top 10 are very small: There is only a 3/10 second gap between the numbers 1 and 10.

During the last day of testing at the Silverstone test yesterday Heinz-Harald Frentzen was the fastest of the bunch with a time of 1:23.37. Mika Hakkinen was second with a time of 1:24.09. Both Stewart drivers didn't drive on Friday.
