The preliminary race-calendar for the Formula 1 season 1999 has been announced by the FIA. China and Malaysia are newcomers and have received a preliminary placing on the calendar. Hungary is also preliminary because of the track invasion of fans during this year's Hungarian Grand Prix. The calendar is:
