Yesterday was the second and last day of the test session at Suzuka where almost every team has tried out the new Bridgestone tyres for next year. Just like on Tuesday David Coulthard was the fastest man on the track. He wasn't too pleased with the new tyres with an extra groove in the fron tyre. He was overheard saying to Hirohide Hamashima, technical director at Bridgestone, that driving with these tyres couldn't be called racing anymore.
Yesterday's times: David Coulthard was fastest with a best lap time of 1:39.69, followed by Michael Schumacher (1:40.83), Giancarlo Fisichella (1:40.93), Wurz (1:41.15), Ralf Schumacher in een Williams (1:42.82), Heinz-Harald Frentzen in een Jordan (1:43.00), Jean Alesi (1:43.82), Jarno Trulli (1:43.69), Rubens Barichello (1:44.55) and Shinji Nakano (1:44.78).
