For some time now speculations are around about a possible take-over of Arrows by Zakspeed. Arrows is in trouble due to retiring sponsors Danka and Zepter and could be bought for an alleged £23 million by Zakspeed. Until now no one has wondered how Zakspeed could pay for this. One of the theories behind this is that Toyota, until recently named as possible newcomer in Formula 1, would be behind this and is using Zakspeed to stay in the lime light for a while. Zakspeed, now active in the GT1 class with semi-works Porsche's, has tried to attract Jos Verstappen as a driver at the beginning of last season.
