Today it was the last day of testing for the Honda team on the circuit of Jerez. Without any problems, Jos Verstappen drove a total of 57 laps. Jos clocked for the third day in a row the fastest time in 1:25.176. With this super time he was not only almost 1 second faster then yesterday, but also was more then one second faster then Zonta, who set the second fastest time of the day. At the end of the passed three days of testing it appears to be a reasonable successful first test for the Honda team. Next test will be in Barcelona next month.
Ricardo Zonta was well done second fastest of the day in 1:26.190 followed by his team-mate Jacques Villeneuve in 1:26.394. Johnny Herbert was able to drive a lot of laps today in the new Stewart-Ford SF-03. After 63 laps his fastest time was 1:27.157. Fisichella could take a rest yesterday, but today climbed behind the wheel again of the Benetton. He drove a total of 19 laps setting his best-recorded time at 1:27.198. Redon was close behind in 1:28.245
