Esteban Tuero announced his retirement from Formula 1. Ther Argentine who made his debut last year as the youngest driver ever to race in Formula 1 said that he made his decision because of personal reasons. Tuero had already signed for another season with Minardi. Due to Tuero's sudden announcement the team from Faenza is now without drivers. Minardi is still negotiating with Shinji Nakano while Marc Gene is rumoured to succeed Tuero. Earlier this year already Minardi lost its testdriver Laurent Redon to Benetton.
